Conditions of eligibility

To be eligible for ISIS, the applicant and its research project must meet the following criteria:
  • 1. The applicant must belong to any European Member State.
  • 2. The applicant should belong to a research laboratory or to a post-secondary institute (university, high school) in the European Union.
  • 3. The applicant must be a researcher, a teacher or a postgraduate student.
  • 4. Spot data:
    • The project must be dedicated to research activities or to demonstrating activities within the framework of GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security). Commercially-oriented projects will be automatically rejected. Educational projects (graduate and post-graduate programmes, Masters and Doctorates) are eligble.
    • Within the framework of a Standard User Licence Agreement, raw data (the Product) can not be shared with any other Users. This User Licence Agreement is signed between Spot Image and the User Laboratory for use of the Product at a preferential research price in order to complete the ISIS Project.
    • Within the framework of a Multi User Licence Agreement, raw data (the Product) can be shared with other explicitly identified Users (the Partners) mentioned in the ISIS Project. This User Licence Agreement is signed between Spot Image and the User Laboratory for use of the Product at a preferential research price in order to complete the Joint Project.
  • 5. Licence to use Spot Images:
    • The applicant should select the most appropriate User Licence Agreement regarding its ISIS Project needs: Standard User Licence Agreement (one user only) or Multi User Licence Agreement (several users).
    • The electronic signature signifies the applicant undertakes to respect all terms defined in the User Licence Agreement. The applicant must accept the User Licence for Spot images.
  • 6. Works performed should:
    • Mention the origin of the SPOT data: SPOT data/ISIS Programme, CNES Copyright
    • Result in a deliverable (report, publication, master thesis), which should be sent to CNES within a 1 year delay at the following address .
  • 7. Any publications of SPOT data (entire SPOT scene or part of it) allotted within an ISIS Project should mention: ©CNES (year of SPOT data production), Distribution Spot Image SA
